70% of population of Nairobi lives in slums where life expectancy is ten years below the Kenyan average.
A kid in a slum has 48% more chance of not reaching the age of 5; 10% of children under 5 dies because underfeed, another 40% of HIV/Aids; the average of HIV affected in Nairobi is 43%.
The number of Kenyan orphans due to Aids is 1.200.
The ngo Intersos is working in Kenya in the slums to fight HIV/AIDS in partnership with the Kenyan ngo Wofak.
