A journey to a small village in Sicily becomes a rediscovery of the sites of the filmmaker’s childhood holidays. Through the conversations with the eldest women of her family, the filmmaker listens and record their stories, their memories of the past and their difficult lives as women in Sicily, with lots of duties and restrictions. But also with irony, strength and courage.
An exploration of memory, place and relationships between different generations.
