AZUL develops and realizes documentary films for the national and international market.
Its recent productions have been broadcasted on Aljazeera, TSI e Indian Television and have been selected and awarded in several international film festival, like Jean Rouch film festival, Prix International du Documentaire Méditerranéen, Torino Film Festival, RAI film festival.
AZUL also produces reportages for satellite TV like RAISAT and cooperates with different companies and institutions of relief. It moreover directs institutional videos for public and private subjects, event documentations and backstage, it promotes and develops didactic workshops in schools, professional training in associations and institutions.
As a young and dynamic working reality AZUL looks after each documentary production stage, from research and development, the shooting, the post-production until the DVD authoring.

Rossella Schillaci (director/producer)

Filmmaker and researcher, Rossella Schillaci attended a Master in Visual Anthropology in the GRANADA CENTRE for Visual Anthropology in Manchester. Her student film, ASCUNTAMI (Listen to me), has been selected in several Italian film festivals (Turin Film Festival, Biennale Giovani Artisti, Invideo).
She then worked for LARANJA AZUL, a Portuguese production company, working as assistant producer and cameraman. She shooted their O LINHO E' UM SONHO (Best audiovisual work in ICOM - UNESCO's International Council of Museums. Best museum video in the International FESTIVAL OF MUSEOLOGY in Taipei, Taiwan 2004).
In 2004 she participated to the European exchange project for Indian and European filmmakers and producers EU-INDIA DOCUMENTARY INITIATIVE , realizing in India "Living beyond border" with journalist T.M. Vishwanaath, a documentary for the TV serial THE SPICE OF LIFE produced by The Thomson Foundation, broadcasted in Indian national TV. In 2005 she directed and produced PRACTICE AND MASTERY, which has been selected and awarded by several international film festival (Prix Bartok - JEAN ROUCH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL Paris 2006, UCLA, Ethnographic Archive, Los Angeles, 2006, Beeld voor Beeld Festival, Amsterdam, 2006).
For TVs she edited Albania, the Falcon's Earth (2004, Raitre) and worked as cameraman for SEA... LAND, DIARIO DI BORDO (Sky).
She worked besides as assistant director for TV programs and as researcher in the University of Milan and in the AESS (Archive of Ethnography and Social History of Lombardy Region).

Fulvio Montano (editor/director)

Fulvio Montano is a filmmaker and director of documentaries. Among his productions THE ACNA CASE (2005), on the story of the homonym factory chemistry of Cengio (Italy), which won ENVIRONMENTAL FILM FESTIVAL 2005, PIANETA AZZURRO.DOC 2006 and has been broadcasted by the Radio Television Italian Switzerland (RTSI) and from La7.
His script "Like a stone in a pool" won the Prize for Best Script in the short-feature national competition Cortopotere in Bergamo; in April 2004, it was shortlisted for the Best Script Award in the CortoinBra Film Festival.
Free lance editor he is also member of the SNCCI/FIPRESCI and editor of the magazine of cinema criticism EFFETTONOTTE.
